Izzy doesn't know too much about what Billy's life had been like back home, besides the superhero stuff. She doesn't like the idea that his birthdays hadn't really been celebrated properly before, but at least she can make sure they do it right in Darrow. All of the people here came because they wanted to be part of this for him, even people she barely knows.

"Well, I hope you have fun. There's drinks and food and presents. And Magnus is here, but I'm pretty sure nothing is spiked."

Magnus has a history of putting spells on drinks at his own party, but he's kept his hands to himself at this one. She doesn't know whether it's out of respect for Billy or because he's still tiptoeing around her a little, but either way it works.
