Isabelle knows that she's attractive and she knows that Billy has noticed it, but this is the first time he's openly admitted that it might affect him at all. Alec had told her to stop teasing him, once, but she likes it too much when he blushes.

"Just checking that you're not concussed again," she says with a laugh. She still doesn't know how it's possible that he went home or exactly how long he was supposedly gone, but she knows that he believes it, so she does too.

"Thanks, I think." She's not finished yet, but it's comforting to know that what she's started isn't entirely awful. She hasn't even bothered to ask Alec his opinion, he'd only give her a confused look. Magnus would be more help, but she's been trying not to bother him.
