Before Isabelle's arrival, Alec had made it a point to go out almost every single night to check for demonic activity in the city. For a city the size of Darrow, there was surprisingly a lot which meant that Alec typically had things to do and wasn't in danger of getting too bored.
After Isabelle had been dropped into Darrow, he tried to keep up that routine but made her come with him. They always worked better as a team and having her at his side made him infinitely more comfortable.
Tonight, he'd dragged her out under the guise of hunting which is why he had his bow strapped to his back when they finally made their way into the park. He hadn't really lied, they had gone out to hunt but they were just going to do something else too.
When he spotted Billy, he waved briefly and glanced at Isabelle to see if she recognized who they were approaching.
