"No!" Billy said. He didn't want her to take them. He didn't want anyone but him to have these. He was magic's champion and it was his responsibility to look after these things. Hermione was probably very competent and could take good care of it but this was something that he was supposed to do.

"Sorry, I just... I appreciate the offer but I'd rather look after them myself. But I do feel better knowing that you know about it."

There were a few other people he should probably tell too. But Hermione was the expert on magic in the city and these were definitely magical items.
